30 Apr THE MEN’S ROOM SERIES: BOYS PART I (FIRST HALF)
To begin this series, OJ shares his experience on when he went to the market to buy plantain and was met with a business-savy girl who sold the plantain to him while her brother was away playing football. In Nigeria, girls are often raised with a number of responsibilities enforced on them while their male counterparts are usually not held accountable for even the most basic duties thus excluding them from the process of maturing. The question is, what then happens when smart, independent women are left with mentally under-developed men to deal with in life? With Nkechi Macaulay and Sam Adebowale on deck, we shed more light on how boys have been raised, particularly in the Nigerian setting, as opposed to how they should be raised.
